Physical Pharmaceutics is a fundamental subject in pharmaceutical education that provides the scientific foundation for understanding the physical and physicochemical principles governing drug substances, excipients, and pharmaceutical dosage forms. This book, Physical Pharmaceutics (Theory), has been developed in accordance with the PCI New Syllabus for the second semester and is intended to support undergraduate pharmacy students in building a clear and practical understanding of the subject.<\/p>\n

The book systematically covers the major areas prescribed in the syllabus, including solubility and distribution phenomena, buffers, interfacial phenomena, colloidal and coarse dispersions, rheology, and micromeritics. Concepts are presented in a structured and student-friendly manner, with appropriate explanations, examples, equations, pharmaceutical relevance, and important principles to facilitate effective learning.<\/p>\n

Particular emphasis has been placed on connecting theoretical concepts with their practical applications in pharmacy, helping students understand how physicochemical properties influence formulation development, drug solubility, stability, flow, dispersion, and dosage-form performance. The book is designed to serve as a useful resource for classroom teaching, self-study, examination preparation, and developing a strong conceptual foundation for advanced pharmaceutical sciences.<\/p>\n
