At Sprout Publication, we believe that authors should receive a fair and transparent share from the direct sales of their published books. Our royalty policy is designed to provide clarity regarding royalty eligibility, calculation, and payment

1. Royalty Rate
Authors are eligible to receive a 30% royalty on eligible book sales made directly through Sprout Publication.The royalty is calculated on the applicable sale/realized value of the book, subject to the terms and conditions of the publishing agreement.

2. Sales Eligible for Royalty
The 30% royalty applies only to books sold directly by Sprout Publication, including orders received through the publisher’s direct sales channels.
Examples of eligible sales may include:
i) Direct orders placed with Sprout Publication
ii) Institutional or academic orders processed directly by Sprout Publication
iii) Bulk orders fulfilled directly by Sprout Publication

3. Amazon and Flipkart Sales
Royalty is not applicable to sales made through Amazon, Flipkart, or other third-party online marketplaces.
Sales through such platforms are subject to their respective marketplace fees, commissions, discounts, logistics charges, taxes, and other applicable deductions. Therefore, these sales are excluded from the 30% royalty calculation under this policy.

4. Royalty Calculation
For eligible direct sales, royalty will be calculated at the rate of 30%, based on the applicable royalty calculation basis stated in the author’s publishing agreement.
Any applicable taxes, refunds, cancellations, discounts, or other agreed deductions may be considered while determining the final royalty amount.

5. Royalty Statement
Authors may be provided with a royalty statement containing relevant sales and royalty information for eligible direct sales.
The statement may include:
i) Number of eligible books sold
ii) Applicable sale value
iii) Royalty rate
iv) Royalty amount payable
v) Applicable deductions, if any

6. Royalty Payment
Royalty payments will be made according to the payment schedule and terms specified in the respective Publishing Agreement.
Authors are required to provide accurate bank/payment details to facilitate royalty payments.

7. Non-Eligible Sales
No royalty will be payable on:
i) Amazon sales
ii) Flipkart sales
iii) Sales through other third-party marketplaces
iv) Complimentary or promotional copies
v) Damaged, returned, cancelled, or refunded orders
vi) Copies supplied free of charge, unless otherwise agreed in writing

8. Transparency and Author Agreement
The royalty terms applicable to each publication will be governed by the Publishing Agreement signed between the author and Sprout Publication.
In case of any discrepancy, the terms and conditions stated in the signed Publishing Agreement shall prevail.

9. Important Note
Royalty eligibility, calculation methodology, payment schedule, and other applicable terms may vary depending on the publishing arrangement. Authors are advised to carefully review their Publishing Agreement before publication.

Books published by Sprout Publication are available through multiple convenient purchasing channels. Readers, students, faculty members, institutions, and other customers can purchase our books through online marketplaces, our official store, or directly from Sprout Publication.
